The Routine.

FIRST OF ALL, I have reached 500 views! Thank you everyone! I would like to take a second and name the people that have left comments on my blog. Haley Marshall, Jooyoung Lee, Betty Johnson, Ray Dozier, and Susan Tice, thank you for leaving comments! I appreciate it! :)

What makes New York such an experience would be the daily hustle of the city life. With that, I would like to share not just a typical day in New York, but will share what my day was like today to give you guys a more in-depth glimpse of m life.

Waking up at 7:00 EST, I started my day fairly early. I got ready and headed towards the subway to head to my Lit. II  class. My day definitely started out interesting. I boarded a super packed 6-train that caused me to have to lean against the door that leads to the other subway cars. After ten minutes in that position, the door flies open causing me to nearly have a heart attack. While there is a platform between the cars, it's was still beyond scary. Trust me it was beyond terrifying!

Luckily, I was okay. I safely arrived at my favorite class by the scheduled time of 8:15. Having a class with just 9 other students and an chill teacher makes me look forward to this class. But, I doubt you want to hear about the details of what we do in Lit. or in History, my second and final class of the day.

Here is where my day gets positively exciting... Around 12:30, I was scheduled to meet the Science editor of The Ticker, the school's newspaper. It happens that they were having an open house today which I was unaware of because I already talked to some staff members. After the introduction of the sections were complete, I was called in to talk to the Editor-In-Chief. To my surprise, they asked me if I would like to do my own blog for The Ticker's website. As a freshmen and as someone who just created a blog around 72 hours ago, I was completely startled. I feel very honored to be asked to do my own blog through my school's newspaper.

I will be mainly be covering life at Baruch college and other topics that other students can relate to. Just to warn those of you Interested in reading my blog with the Ticker, some of my posts on The Pursuit of HappiNYC and The Ticker may intertwine due to the fact that they are both similar. I will keep everyone updated in the future!

So, after being told this fantastic news, I hung around the Ticker's office and talked with a few section editors about different articles. When it hit about 2:30, I had to leave to go to my babysitting job.

I will be babysitting Monday through Friday from 3:30 until six watching a well-mannered, and simply adorable, five year old boy. My job mainly consists of playing with him and taking him to the playground. I am loving this job. It has been great so far.

As I'm writing this, I am walking back to Baruch to go work on an article that is due tomorrow for the science section. Around seven, I will head back home (it's still weird to say!) and finish my assignments for tomorrow!

I love how every one here is always busy. It's never ending! While this may intimidate some people, I have always liked being super busy even I become stressed. It acts as an adrenaline rush keeping me happy.. for the most part.

This day has been absolutely amazing. I love it here. Again, thank you to everyone that had been reading my blog and telling others about it! It really means more than you know.
Until tomorrow!
